BioAdvance Ventures is an innovative new venture fund formed to invest in seed and early stage life science companies, located primarily in Southeastern Pennsylvania. The fund is sponsored by BioAdvance, and will be managed by Quaker BioVentures Inc., (www.quakerbio.com).

The Fund’s goal is to provide an attractive return to its partners, while stimulating the development and commercialization of emerging life science companies.

Southeastern Pennsylvania ranks among the top regions in the United States in the quality and quantity of life science research as measured by NIH funding to institutions located in the region. This region is home to four medical schools, two schools of pharmacy, and 20 academic and non-profit institutions that conduct medical research, making it an ideal location for early stage venture opportunities.

In addition to the scientific talent pool, the region is home to a significant concentration of large biopharmaceutical companies. These resources will provide scientific, clinical development and management talent for emerging biopharmaceutical companies.
